DELICETO
Altitude: mt 620 a.s.l
Population: about 4,000 inhabitants

Deliceto is dominated by an imposing medieval castle, built by the Normans in the 12th century AD. Deliceto is a small town and comune in the province of Foggia, from which it is 40.3 kilometre (25.0 mi), in the Apulia region of southeast Italy. The rises on the peak of a hill, surrounded by woods and streams.

In Deliceto you can enjoy the old Italian tradition, amazing food with fresh vegetables and fruits. Cost of living is very cheap compared to other Italian locations. The weather is always great especially in summer, not too hot because of the altitude. Spectacular sunrise and sunset are enjoyable from the town. The town is quiet, relaxing, and very safe. Moreover, the beautiful Apulia seacoast is one hour by car.

The territory broadly extends along the hydrogeographic basin of the Carapellotto river and is
characterized by rich oak woods, Mediterranean scrub, olive groves and vineyards. There is no lack of ash, hazelnut and wild pear trees. The flora sees a variety of wild orchids, while mistletoe abounds in the trees and brooms are thick.
Deliceto are a refuge and reproduction area for wild animals, a resting place for migratory birds and an ideal hunting ground for predators. The properly sub-Apennine part of the Deliceto area (extended towards the Tavoliere) is mostly cultivated with durum wheat and wheat.
